GABRIEL B. HERMAN, M.D.
Dr. Gabriel Herman, a graduate from the University of Pennsylvania and the Georgetown University School of Medicine, was a Valedictorian receiving the Kober Medal, the highest award bestowed upon a medical student. He completed his internship and Internal Medicine residency at Georgetown University Hospital. He then served a two-year Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Herman, Board-Certified in Gastroenterology, has been in the practice of Gastroenterology in Northern Virginia since 1979. He currently holds the position of Chief of Gastroenterology at Virginia Hospital Center. His special interests include liver diseases and therapeutic biliary endoscopy. Dr. Herman has been active in various committees at both Fairfax and Virginia Hospital Centers.
