Meet The Doctors

TRUC T. TRINH, M.D.

Dr. Trinh, a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Medicine, was a recipient of the Crohn’s Colitis Foundation Research grant and American Gastroenterology Association Excellence in Clinical IBD Award. She has authored and contributed to several scientific articles in the field of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).


Prior to joining the practice, Dr. Trinh was an Instructor of Clinical Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at the University of Virginia Health System. After completing her residency and Fellowship in Charlottesville, Virginia, she pursued specialty training in genomic medicine at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard in Cambridge, MA. She returned to UVA on faculty as part of the IBD and Women's GI team. During her fellowship and time on staff, she participated in both translational and clinical research in IBD. Dr. Trinh has clinical interests in immune mediated intestinal conditions, functional GI disorders and women’s GI health.
